A friend (the CTO) had told me about ZocDoc a few years back but I don't think I ever even looked at it.  At the time I had incredible insurance and had no need to find new doctors.  But as the health care crisis rages on, I'm constantly having to look for new doctors.

ZocDoc is "a free service that allows patients to book Doctor appointments online."  It also allows you to read reviews and see where various doctors who take your insurance are on a map.  

I can't say enough good things about this service.  You must, must, must try it out.

]]>iFlicks: My new favorite Apphttp://www.marissalerer.com/blog/2010/3/3/iflicks-my-new-favorite-app.htmlMarissa2010-03-03T18:44:46Ziflicks itunes movies movies organize software tech stuff televisionnow most of you who know me knows that I rarely pay for software.  Certain programs like 1Password and dupin are totally worth it but for the most part, the demo is usually enough for me.

I came across this little piece of magical software that does one thing, really, really well.  iFlicks takes your movie files, downloads all the correct metadata for it and then sticks it back into itunes looking all pretty and organized.  I loved this app so much that I paid for it almost on the spot.  It's about $25 which admittedly is pretty high but I use this all the time now with my new non-cable, internet downloading tv watching.  It is definitely worth a look.
